Geneva

We support homeowners in the planning, coordination and execution of complex renovations, ensuring a single point of responsibility from concept to delivery.

The most successful renovations have one thing in common

A robust planning before construction.

The projects that run most smoothly are those where important decisions are made before the start of construction, and where each step is guided by a clear strategy.

  • Defined Objectives
  • Well-Aligned Investment
  • Realistic Timeline
  • Clearly Established Responsibilities
  • Decisions Made in Advance
  • One Team Accountable for the Final Outcome

Not all renovations require this level of support.

Clients who choose Collet Homes are generally undertaking major renovations and are looking for professional support from concept to completion.

They are often:

✓ Professionals or families with little time to dedicate to the day-to-day management of a construction site

✓ Property Owners working with a specific deadline (move-in, back to school, relocation or rental)

✓ Clients living abroad or with limited time to monitor the project on-site

✓ Owners making a significant investment in their real estate

✓ People who want a single point of contact responsible for the project from start to finish

✓ Clients who prioritize clarity, planning, and professional coordination rather than the direct management of different trades

SERVICES

Inspection before purchase

Collet Homes offers pre-purchase and pre-renovation inspections for prospective or current owners who wish to better understand the visible condition of a property before committing.

This service is aimed at people who need more than just a general impression, without yet being at the stage of a full technical study, an architect's mandate or a detailed renovation quote.

This is a first level of professional analysis.

How is my construction site secured in case of unforeseen events (insurance coverage)?

Appropriate insurance guarantees the ability to stay on course, even in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Each construction site is governed by a coherent RC + RCTCMO framework, including:

  • Collet Homes and Partners Liability Insurance :
    • Covers damages up to CHF 5 million caused to third parties due to professional negligence
    • This comes into play when a stakeholder is legally responsible.
  • Project Owner's Liability Insurance (RCMO) :
Protects the client/owner against civil risks related to the construction operation.
    • Covers damages caused to third parties due to the construction
    • Includes legal defense costs if the project owner is involved in the proceedings.
  • Construction Works Insurance :

It protects the work in progress, guarantees the continuity of the construction site and avoids financial blockages.

        • Covers unforeseen property damage: fire, water damage, theft, accidental error

        • Intervenes immediately without waiting for the determination of liability.

This approach helps to avoid blockages, conflicts and uncertainties.

How long does a home renovation take?

The time it takes to renovate a house varies. Custom installations and mostly cosmetic work can take anywhere from a few days to a week. Complete bathroom renovations (retiling and replacing old showers, tubs and toilets) can take an average of 2 to 4 weeks, if there is no excessive electrical or plumbing work that needs to be reviewed. Complete kitchen renovations, where the existing kitchen needs to be dismantled, take an average of 2 to 4 weeks. If walls need to be removed and electricity and plumbing need to be rerouted, it can add 1-2 weeks to the process.

We will provide you with an accurate assessment of the work required for your renovation project, as well as an accurate assessment of the time required to complete the project. We will also take into account any complications related to your specific project and, if additional work is required, we will let you know how much additional time you will need to expect.

How does the on site project consultation work?

In these meetings, we ask many questions about how you personally use your spaces and what works and what doesn't work for you. We will also establish the type of budget you have planned for your project and this will guide the material and aesthetic design requests that you would like to see realized, while being realistic within your budget.

We will also carry out a preliminary feasibility study to identify potential constraints, anticipate planning requirements, and determine any necessary permits or authorizations, where applicable.

If you already have a plan or are currently working with an architect, we can expedite the completion of work proposals that will help you and your architect decide if we are right for your needs. If you don't have specific plans, we can guide you on what to consider for a renovation to be a success.

How much will it cost to renovate my house?

Less if it is a simple question of aesthetics, more if it is a question of removing walls, modifying the layout or the position of public services.

Luxury appliances, fixtures, cabinets, and countertops increase renovation costs and, at the same time, the value of your home.

COLLET HOMES provides clear and precise quotes, taking into account the latest material prices. Our prices reflect the high quality of the work we provide, the stress-free coordination and the precise completion deadlines we meet.

Do you offer any guarantees?

We are a registered company for commercial and residential renovations and construction, with strict insurance to protect you - see question "How is my construction site secured in case of unforeseen events?".

When we order equipment for our clients, we take care of the necessary warranty follow-up in case of damage.

We guarantee the installations and interventions we provide to our customers. We are committed to ensuring the quality and satisfaction of the projects in which we participate.

Do you work throughout Switzerland?

We are able to roll out our services throughout Switzerland. If the distance is significant from Geneva, we will charge travel costs depending on the size of the project.

When projects are large, we organize blocks of time that allow our teams to be close to the site and work within the project deadlines.

Can I use your services only for execution and installation?

If you have a project that you are working on independently or with an architect when it comes to plans and material choices, and you are looking for a reputable contractor to ensure flawless delivery and installation, please do not hesitate to contact us with the details of your project.

In many cases, we have already worked with the material in question. If not, we can study the product and give you an estimate of whether we can hire us for the installation. The only case where we cannot install a material is when we deem its quality to be poor, in which case the quality of the installation and the result will be compromised.
